Finding Latitude & Longitude. In order to create an astrological birth chart, you need to know the latitude & longitude of your birth place.  We have a database of zip codes that can help you find the latitude & longitude of your birth place if you were born in a fair sized city in the United States, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.  If you were not born in any of these places or you can’t find your latitude & longitude with a zip code search, check Option 4 for more help.
Option 1: Experienced: If you know the latitude & longitude of your birth place then this option is the best choice.  Just use the drop down selectors to enter in the information.  The information must be entered as Degrees ( ° ), Minutes ( ), Seconds ( ) & Suffix ( N/S E/W ).  Then press the yellow Go button.
Option 2: Search for U.S. Cities: and cities in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.  Enter the city name an select the State / Island.  Then press the blue Go button.  Double check the spelling, our database search is very unforgiving.  Searching by city name can result in multiple returns.  For example, a search for Denver, CO. would result in 74 choices, all with different zip codes.  If you are not sure what part of the city you were born in, select the first choice.  It will most likely be the city center.
Option 3: U.S. Zip Code Search: This is the easiest way to find your Latitude & Longitude.  We have a database of over 42,000 zip codes.  If you know the zip code of your birth place use this option.
Option 4: First, try this.  1. Open the Google Maps website and enter the address details in the search box.  2. Zoom In the Google Maps as much as possible until you locate the place for which you need the latitude and longitude.  3. Right click that exact location on Google Maps and select Center Map Here.  4. Click the Link to this Page Hyperlink on Google Maps website and copy paste the URL into notepad - look for the value of ll parameter in the URL - they are the latitude and longitude coordinates.

Copy paste that value in the Google Maps Search box again to confirm the location on Google Maps.  Then use Option 1 to enter the Degrees, Minutes, Seconds E/W N/S.  Be sure to round off numbers to the nearest whole number.  (+39° 40’ 17.12”, -104° 52’ 16.54”) = (Latitude - 39° 40’ 17”N, Longitude -104° 52’ 17”W)  If this does not work you will need to search the internet to find the information you need to use this site.
Converting from a decimal format to Degrees, Minutes, Seconds. Suppose we start with 40.3472 degrees.  Can we express that in units of degrees, minutes, and seconds?  Well, first of all there are definitely 40 degrees full degrees.  That leaves 0.3472 degrees.  So, how many minutes is 0.3472 degrees? Well, how many times can 1/60 go into 0.3472?  Here's the same question: What is 60 times 0.3472?  It's 20.832.  So, there are 20 complete minutes with 0.832 of a minute remaining.  How many seconds are in the last 0.832 minutes.  Well, how many times can 1/60 go into 0.832, or what is 60 times 0.832?  It's 49.92, or almost 50 seconds.  So, we've figured that 40.3472 degrees is almost exactly equal to 40 degrees, 20 minutes, 50 seconds.
